A Process Designed to Provide You
with a Strong, Effective Message
To help make your project a success ThunderWord Copywriting follows a systematic and collaborative process.
It means creating a well thought out plan. This involves gathering information and outlining a step-by-step process.
It also means a process that allows us to work closely together. That is so we best use each other’s expertise to produce a strong, effective message.
Below is an overview of the major stages of a typical project. Your project could involve different steps.
1. Define the Scope of the Project
Once we agree on a project and price, you will receive a Letter of Agreement just to be sure we are on the same page right from the start. This will spell out the scope of the project along with some other details including the timeline.
2. Gather Information
The right information is huge in producing the right message. The information will generally be a combination of my own independent research and what you provide. To help guide you on the type of information to send me, I can send you a brief survey.
3. Propose the Major Elements
This is the checkpoint stage. This is where you get to see ideas, headlines, outlines and rough designs. Then we talk about them and say things like “what about this?” or “hey, that is great!”. It is a crucial stage to help make sure we are on the right track.
4. Present Drafts and Make Revisions
Finally, you receive a full draft of the project and get the opportunity to provide your comments, and I make the revisions. With my systematic process, and us working together, the copy should be very close the first time.
The process for catalog reviews is much more straightforward. It involves you providing your catalog along with some background information about your industry and the purpose of the catalog. After evaluating your catalog, I will provide a written report and offer a follow-up discussion should you have any questions.
